Mandeeps,

I need slideshow to support content templates like Live Content does. I'm using content templates as shown here: http://www.deploymentforum.com/About/DeploymentForumMVPs/tabid/136/Default.aspx. If nothing else, I'd like Slideshow to use the content template form the Live Content module. Until this feature is added, I can't really use slideshow.

Hello Jerry,
not quite sure why you need content templates for slideshow. SlideShow can only show images (pictures) and not any other content such as text/html...

By the way, nice use of Live Content for showing MVP's profile; can we use that page as showcase?

The reason I want to include the content temlate is that I want the picture AND the text you see on the MVP thumbnail to appear in the slideshow. The text next to each thumbnail is part of the content template. Just a bunch of random portraits on the home page isn't very useful without also displaying a brief description of the person. Without the ability to optionally include the content template in the slideshow, I simply cannot use Slideshow.

Using it in the showcase is fine. Just give me the content template :)

Hello Jerry,
you're not the only one who has requested that; unfortunately, the slideshow is designed primarily to rotate images and nothing else. The slideshow is flash based and there's not an easy way to rotate the content using the content templates.

We have a css content rotator module that rotates content; however, you will miss the transitions and ken burns effect even if we think to integrate that with Live Content.

So at this time, you cannot rotate anything but pictures. You may want to enable navigation and have the MVP's name appear underneath the picture...
